I Lost My Job. So I Went Hiking.

Wednesday Morning Summit #1

I lost my job.

Not a planned exit. Not a gentle transition. One of those moments where the ground shifts and you’re left standing there thinking, right… what now? Most people look for answers at a desk, a screen, or the bottom of a glass. I laced up my boots and went walking.

Out on the trail, things get simple again. You move forward or you don’t. No noise, no titles, no inbox — just breath, steps, and space to think clearly. Somewhere between the start and the summit, it hit me: you don’t need all the answers, you just need to move. One step, then another.

That’s how you get back on track.

That’s how you rebuild.

If you’re at a crossroads — take a walk.
